Ten millennia have passed since you and the few survivors of the once mighty Vasari Empire fled from an unknown threat that all but exterminated your kind. You now find yourself at the fringe of the galaxy in a sector occupied by a pathetically primitive species - one obsessed with trade and lacking any central organization or military technology. Calling themselves the Trader Emergency Coalition, they would have been ideal slaves in the glorious days of the past, but time is of the essence. Use your mastery of phase-space manipulation, gravity and nanotechnology to quickly eliminate any local resistance and acquire the necessary resources to fuel the next segment of your continuing exodus.

An invading alien race, a massive trade conglomerate and a hitherto group of militant exiles vie for dominance of the stars in what is easily one of the finest strategy games since Master of Orion.
You begin the game in control of a single planet and a lone scout vessel, with travel paths to only a few known, but unexplored planets. Traveling to these planets may uncover pathways to yet more worlds, all of which are linked together in a veritable spider's web of jump ways.
But colonizing other planets requires more than simply building a colony ship; some planets are whipped by freezing winds and coated in snow and ice, others which are volcanic and criss-crossed with lava flows, make them far too hot to populate. These types of planets require special research to colonize, with additional research required to maximize their efficiency and population capacity.
Floating near your homeworld are asteroids chock full of the resources you'll need to fuel your empire: m...[More]

You play as one of three races: TEC (Trader Emergency Coalition) the Varsi, or the Advent. Each race has abilities and a story. The Varsi were a great race running from a threat they don't understand, they keep running and settling planets, but the planets die one by one. The humans fought the Advent (hence the creation of the TEC); the Advent have been in hiding increasing their mental abilities,...[More]

Pros: 1) Possibly the best interface I have ever seen in a RTS. Extremely easy to keep track of massive fleets at once and awesome micro managing. 2) Game is usually played zoomed out, however once zoomed looks amazing with a good pc. The large scale warfares are really epic. 3)Key binds for micro managing are very easy to remember, shouldn't even take the newest player long to memorize. Cons: 1) ...[More]

Best RTS I have ever played. The graphic quality is awesome. The game interface makes the game playability better then any game out there. The game could use a little more differance in the units for each race. The sheer size of most of the maps makes each game go on for hours and sometimes days. Even the small maps can take 3 to 4 hours of epic gameplay. The space battles seem almost realistic in...[More]
