Rated 9 out of 10 by SeriousGamer93 Great Re-release but...
DOA5U is what DOA5 should've been. Every aspect has been improved. Online is smooth most of the times. In DOA5, the online was almost unplayable. There are more costumes, characters, and stages. I love this much more than DOA5. I have no problems with the game as I do with the DLC surrounding it. I know that Team Ninja is known for re-releasing ultimate versions for the DOA series as well as sigma for Ninja Gaiden series. However; I'm mad that this still has locked DLC and future DLC incoming. The whole point of "Ultimate" is that everything is unlocked. The DLC will make this game double in price. Plus, I've read that DOA5 has been released in Japanese arcades with some new characters. This means there will be a strong chance of another re-release maybe called : DOA5: Ultimate Part 2. It'll include all DLC post DOA5U and probably cost the same price. So, basically all the double-dipping and DLC will actually cause the game to be over a $100 bucks easily. I love the game but hate all the DLC gimmicks. If there's one thing TTT2 had over other games; it's that it was PACKED with content, had FREE DLC, and it was a final product.

With Dead or Alive 5 original already out, it's only up to you if you plan to spend an extra $40 dollars for it's extra content. The extra contents would be added characters, fixed bugs (improved version now), extra mode in online which would be 2v2. It's basically an improved version in all ways. The game DOA 5 is already as beautiful as it is, but if you really are a true hardcore gamer, go out and get this improved version with extra add ins and more to it than the original. After all this is the ultimate and that's a fact. Overall, I can only say that if you have yet to get DOA 5, get this version, it has basically all what you would find in DOA 5 original, but with more to it. Worth it? Yes.
