by Sum1ThatKilledU Epic? I think the force is strong with this one.
I' having flashbacks of turning off auto aim and playing the game with nothing but headshots all the way through and a few chops here and there on 007 mode. I haven't had that flashback since quantum of solace had a familiar multiplayer map where everybody became my prey. Duke Nukem killed any dream I had of any successful remake/return. Golden Eye Reloded will shove a proximity mine up Duke's expletive and allow those dreams to breathe once more.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Gio2033 VERY FUN 007 GAME.
This game is awsome. it has pretty good graphics. good sound awsome music. the campaign is kinda short but very action packed it took be about 5 hours on normal settings and about 9 hours on the hardest setting. theirs a pretty good amount of weapons including pistols, machine pistols, sub machine guns, assult rifles, sniper rifles and shotguns. the multiplayer is very fun but their are many flaws. one thing i noticed was in multiplayer the graphics were a little bit downgraded from the campaign but overall decent. the rank or progression systems is sorta like all the other FPS games of 2011. you can create up to 10 custom classes like in COD. the multiplayer is pretty smooth running at 60 frames per second. the 1 bad thing is the online sometimes lags or disconnects you which is very annoying. oh 1 last thing on the ps3 version you can get a free character Mrs. galore. and on xbox she costs 160 microsoft points. well i hope this helps. ps 4 player splitscreen is insanley fun and addictive.
Rated 8 out of 10 by deathinacan536 Overall, this game is very good, well made.
I thought this game was going to be like COD, because it is created by Activision, the makers of COD. It's different in alot of ways. For one, the controller vibrates alot more and to me, it makes me fell like I'm shooting an actual gun. That's a plus. Also the gun grahics were very well polished, and really helped me fell like I'm in the shoes of
James Bond. The campaign was fun, and parts of it were hard, but after a while, I got past them. At first, I just played the demo on Xbox LIVE, but then I went out and rented it from redbox. After playing that copy, I scraped some money together and bought it. Along with the campaign, there are multiplayer and Mi6 Ops game modes. The multiplayer was excellent and very polished. The other game mode, Mi6 Ops, is kind of like Combat Training in Black Ops. Its you against how many opponents you choose. It is a fun, 10 minute mode to play quickly if you are in a hurry, or have a small window of time. Overall, this game is very good, well made, I like it alot!

If you wanna buy this game but you dont know- read this. First the campaign is solid like all 007 games so thats an automatic plus for this title. But if you mainly play for the multiplayer... listen up. This game immediately gives me the feeling of the goldeneye for N64, which is a good thing. But it has the control scheme and feel of Call of Duty, which I feel is a bad thing. The online is FUN!!! especially the golden gun game mode along with a few others really gives that old school James Bond feeling. But this game is far from perfect. It takes extra bullets to kill people unless you have a shotgun or a sniper rifle. IDK? Maybe when you rank up higher the guns will get better, but that is a complete turn off for some. You can find games easily because people all over the world are 007 fans, but that also means rooms that lag and shut down from time to time. Overall I feel this game is really good!, but if you expected great you might be a little disappointed. This game is more for people who can truly appreciate what a James Bond game is.
Rated 2 out of 10 by LittleMurcury It was a descrace to the James Bond franchies.
Don't get me wrong here. The game was fun. really fun even, but there were just to many flaws in it that anyone who has either watch the movie or played the original can see. For example: At the part were James Bond and Natalya need to escape the train before it explodes. the bomb goes off and you don't take any damage; and instead of using the lazer-watch to cut open the air vent in the train, you shoot it open with your gun. Now for anyone how has played the original would know that that part was one of the best parts in the game (escaping with an accrual 007 move from the movie). there were other disappointments in the dialog throughout the game. Although for a person who has never see "007 Goldeneye" this game would be quite fun and exciting. like when you are driving the tank through St. Petersburg, Russia (which besides the controls acting up every now and then) was quite fun and closer to the movie the the original game.
But all-n-all, I would say that it was a major disappointment for those of us who has played the original, but incredible for those new to the James Bond series.
Rated 4 out of 10 by rockettom1337 good campaign suckish multiplayer
i was really looking forward to this game being a 007 fan through and through. the missions and mi6 feature in this game were really fun though auto turrets and specific shotguns are over powered, the shotgun i think is ridiculous is this one i cant remember the name of but can kill a man hiding behind cover from a football field, and auto turrets will kill u with 1 bullet if they see you. the one thing i hat the most about the game is the multiplayer im really good at shooters but this game takes almost a whole clip of AK-47 in the chest to kill and every sniper rifle will kill with a leg shot it also lags a lot the only good guns are unlocked at really high ranks and it takes being #1 in every game for 20 games to get from level 10 to level 11 at which point u have only unlocked 1 weapon and it is the most useless smg ever and u dont get a single launcher until level 49 (highest level 50)

This game is a prefect revival of goldeneye. The campaign you can squeeze out in about 7 hours (or at least for me) the campaign is good and all but what i liked a TON was mi6 ops. Although it sounds like spec ops it's better, what i mean is it has tons of modes for different gameplay every time, there is elimination which is similar to mw3's survival in which you have to kill all of the targets. There is defense in which you must hack a device while defending it from people trying to shoot it. Last but not least you have stealth, OH MY GOD STEALTH IS AWESOME, you can't be a caught and you have to be quick and quiet. The final installation is multiplayer. Split screen is a blast and you can play all sorts of modes from conflict to classic golden gun mode. There is also online which i have yet to play. This game will last you and from what I've heard is that online is a blast. If you like great shooters or loved goldeneye you HAVE to get this game. why are u still reading...go buy it...dude......IT'S GOLDENEYE!!!...still nothing....u r missing out....what's your problem...fine then XD
Rated 9 out of 10 by squidblu Its Average, but i have fun playing
I was fan of the 1998 goldeneye for n64. unfortunately this game was nothing like it. i think they should of included it as an unlockable, but anyway. i'm playing and i think its like call of duty with no strikes(same visuals), but you get to customize a little more because of the classic characters. I tried some of the multiplayer modes like black box*, heroes* and they were really fun new experiences ,but you really have to catch people playing them . most of everyone is either playing team conflict , classic conflict, or regular conflict. when license to kill and team license to kill would be much better.campaign is very challenging. time attack is cool but they should of jumped on the horde mode band wagon or made it a co-op ,but its a good game and if anyone needs a break from call of duty mw3 or bf3 this would be a good choice just watch out for the shot guns.
Rated 4 out of 10 by PhillyBreezy Disappointed
The only reason this game appealed to me was because I believed this would be a HD remake of the original N64 version. When I was younger, my friends and I would spend hours on four player split screen hunting each other. The "Reloaded" edition is NOTHING like the N64 version. Multiplayer maps are different, the weapon system is different. Overall, it just does not feel the same. With that being said, if you never played the original game, you will likely enjoy this for what it is. For me however, I am so happy I rented this game. No one played the single player campaign, GoldenEye 007 was all about multiplayer play. I really would have preferred an HD port of the N64 version. There are better team multiplayer shoot em ups that are similar (see recommendations). I don't get the same thrill from playing this that I got 12 (or so) years ago.
Rated 10 out of 10 by JDubbaU An instant classic! 007 returns!
First of all if your a call of duty fan-boy chances are you are not going to enjoy this game (or any other game for that matter). But for the rest of us, this is a GREAT game!! An instant classic! Gamplay is smooth, the graphics are exellent! The campain goes along with the same storyline as Goldeneye but remember this isnt Goldeneye N64, it is Goldeneye Reloaded so the way it is done has been tweeked and is slightly different from what you remember from the original and in my opinion alot better. MI6 ops is a awesome extra gamemode that will keep you entertained for hours! and the best for last the mutiplayer, all i can say is WOW a classic 007 mutiplayer experience!!! i like the ranking system with the weapon upgrades, gagets and the 13 different game modes to choose from. The maps are unique, perfect for mutiplayer gameplay not too big or too small. I also want to add this is the first shooter i've played that i actually liked ALL the weapons (especially the moonraker laser;) ) and the best part no predator missles, cheap chopper gunners , missle strikes or nukes to ruin your gaming experience......Go buy it now! you won't be dissopointed.
