| The Wii™ game features 18 levels – ranging from the initial GI drop into the Quartz Zone to petrified forests and enemy held cities. Levels include 5 co-operative multiplayer maps allowing both hold the fort and progressive play modes, either across the net with up to four player or two player split screen fun. Missions extend up to four kilometres and are designed to allow the player to explore their environment, scope out the enemy and find the best path for their style of attack. Rogue Trooper was originally created for 2000AD in the eighties by Gerry Finley-Day and Dave Gibbons (Watchmen). First published in the weekly 2000AD comic in 1981 alongside Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper became a firm favourite with the mix of World War references and a future war setting that allowed the writers and artists to explore the epic nature of war but also the personal nature of facets such as loss, betrayal and revenge. Gordon Rennie - a firm fan favourite, and THE Rogue Trooper writer for the last five years - has penned the game’s dialogue and has been extensively consulted with the retelling of the origins of the lone warrior. |

| Rogue Trooper can out-manoeuvre any enemy on Nu-Earth due to his genetically engineered strength and ability to survive in the toxic wasteland that this future war’s battlefields have become. The human forces are all hampered with HAZMAT suits and heavy air supplies except for a few semi-clear areas by the coast.
The best weaponry available was given to the Genetic Infantry (GI) forces. Helmets fitted with radar and communication scanning systems. Backpacks able to generate supplies from battlefield salvage when behind enemy lines. Rifles that mix heavy firepower with configurability using an under-slung attachment point that can lead to devastating combinations of munitions, in any situation.
Added to this a GI’s main trio of equipment are all fitted with biochip slots that are capable of keeping a fallen GI’s biochip (a living record of that GI’s training and personality) alive until they can be Re-Gened. These Biochips assist your tactical approaches to the toughest situations, offering features such as:
- 3RD PERSON TACTICAL SHOOTER
- EMPLOY A RUTHLESS TACTICAL COMBINATION OF STEALTH AND ALL-OUT ACTION IN WIDE, OPEN ENVIRONMENTS
- AUTOMATED SENTRY GUNS
- CONTROLLABLE HOLOGRAPHIC PROJECTION OF ROGUE TROOPER, ABLE TO LEAD ENEMIES OFF YOUR SCENT OR INTO AN AMBUSH
- MICRO-MINE FIELDS YOU CAN LAY TO WATCH YOUR BACK OR PROJECT FORWARD AND COVER A POTENTIAL PATH OF ATTACK
- USE QUICK THINKING AND NEXT-GEN INTELLIGENT WEAPONRY TO EXECUTE YOUR OBJECTIVES

| I love 3rd person shooting games and they are hard to come by on the Wii...good ones anyway.
Other reviewers say this game surprised them...well it surprised me as well. This is a must have for the Wii as there are so few good 3rd person shooters. RE 4 is still my favorite for the Wii but it's nice to play something new.
The graphics are good for the Wii but nothing spectacular.

| This game is much better that I would have ever thought from a Wii shooter game. You will have fun playing it and the price was great. I could talk about the water in this game for hours. You are walking along doing your killin thing when bammmm, You come across a large body of water that looks like you could just jump right thru your T.V. and swim in it. I never thought that the Wii could handle ...[More] |
