  • There's always something new to do. In the living, breathing world of Animal Crossing: City Folk, days and seasons pass in real time, so there's always something to discover. Catch fireflies in the summer, go trick-or-treating on Halloween or hunt for eggs on Bunny Day. If you're in the mood for something a little faster paced, take a bus to a new urban city area that's unique to Animal Crossing: City Folk. There you can catch a show at the theater or check out the sales at Gracie's boutique. But if you don't show your face back home for too long, your neighbors will miss you.
  • Up to four people from your household can live and work together to build the perfect town. Design clothes and patterns, write letters and post messages on the bulletin board for each other, or invite up to three friends to visit your town using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. With the new WiiSpeak microphone, it's like you're all in the same room. The microphone sits atop the sensor bar and picks up the conversation of everyone in the room to encourage a more inclusive experience.
  • Get to know your neighbors. The heart of Animal Crossing: City Folk is building relationships with the animals in your town as well as with other players. Befriend your animal neighbors by exchanging letters, gifts and favors. Animals can also move from town to town, bringing their memories and stories from their old towns with them. And since animals are notoriously loose-lipped, they spill all the juicy details.
  • Express your personal style. Customize your town, your house and yourself by collecting bugs, fish, fossils, art, furniture, clothes and accessories. You can also go to the salon in the city to change your hairstyle and get a Mii? makeover. Plus, if you design clothes in the tailor's shop, animals will wear them and maybe even bring them to other towns.
To play “Animal Crossing: City Folk” over Nintendo WFC, when visiting another town, visitors and hosts must first register each others’ friend codes to their friend rosters. Follow the steps below to register each other.

    1. Get your friend code. Talk to Copper, and choose “Friend code!” and then “I want one!” You will then connect to Nintendo WFC and receive a friend code.

    2. Give your friend code. Share your code with your friends.

    3. Register your friends’ friend codes. Go to your friend roster (p. 11), choose Register a Friend, and then enter the friend code. Next, enter your friend’s player name, town name, and any comments and you’re set.

Friend codes allow people to play with people they know. If you exchange friend codes with someone you don’t know, you could receive corrupted data or be exposed to offensive language. Please avoid exchanging friend codes with people you do not know.

Not Bad...

I've been an Animal Crossing fan since day one, and I've bought every single Animal Crossing game that has come out. In fact, part of the reason I bought a Wii was so I could try the new AC game. That was 2 years ago, so I had to wait a little longer for this game than expected. To be honest, I knew whether or not this game was good, I was going to buy it anyway. I was just hoping it was better than Wild World which was simply an utter disappointment. Thankfully, it was. The new Animal Crossing must've been at least 10 times better than WW. But when I compare it to the original AC, which was far better than WW I'd have to say that the two were pretty equally matched.

Customize your appearance- I like the fact that you can wear hats and other accessories that don't have the same pattern as your shirt, unlike in the original one where your hat always matched your outfit and you could only wear a cone hat (girl) or a viking hat (boy).

Clothes- Another great thing was the ne...[More]

I first played Animal Crossing when I was eight years old on my cousin's Game Cube (she created my character for me). Eventually I got my own Game Cube and I played Animal Crossing frequently.

Now we have a Wii and a couple of months ago my friends got me Animal Crossing: City Folk for my birthday. I was not sure if I would like it because I had spent so much time on Animal Crossing for ...[More]

Last year i had gotten Animal Crossing City Folk for Christmas. As soon as I was done opening presents I hooked up my wii and started to play it. The controls are easy and well easy! Plus if you had someone come to your town you could talk them through Wii Speak microphone. I haven't tried it yet but i know a friend who had used it. Anyway once you had made your character the is the city you can ...[More]

I have played all 3 versions of the game i have to say i like this one the best. City Folk in my opinion is just a improvement to the first version for the gamecube. The quality of this one beats Wild World 100%. City Folk has a lot of things for everyone to do, fish, bug, talk to people, go shopping, basically something for everyone's likes. I would recommend to buy it because the price I see is...[More]
