| Control the sea, command great armies, forge a new nation and conquer the globe.
Empire: Total War takes the Total War franchise to the 18th Century and the Age of
Imperialism—a time of near perpetual war. This latest installation in the award-winning,
multi-million unit selling Total War franchise introduces a host of revolutionary new features,
including true 3D naval combat. Players will be able to command single ships or vast fleets upon
seascapes rich with extraordinary effects. After pummeling enemies with cannon fire, players
will close in to grapple enemy ships and prepare to board, taking control of men as they fight
hand-to-hand. With an entirely new game engine, Empire will see further enhancements to the
3D battles and turn-based campaign maps. Empire lets players experience combat on the high
seas, India, Europe, and, for the first time, the United States of America. |

Empire: Total War will see the debut of 3D naval combat within the Total War franchise. PC Gamers will be able to intuitively command vast fleets or single ships upon seascapes rich with extraordinary water and weather effects that play a huge role in your eventual glorious success or ignominious defeat. After pummelling your enemy with cannon fire, close in to grapple their ship and prepare to board taking control your men as they fight hand to hand on the decks.
Along with the revolutionary introduction of Naval Combat, Empire: Total War will see further enhancements to the Total War series signature 3D battles and turn based campaign map. Real time battles will pose new challenges with the addition of cannon and musket, challenging players to master new formations and tactics as a result of the increasing role of gunpowder within warfare. And the Campaign Map – for many the heart of Total War – will see new improved systems for Trade, Diplomacy and Espionage with agents, a refined and streamlined UI, improved Advisors and extended scope taking in the riches of India, the turbulence of Europe and the untapped potential of North America.
- New Real-time 3D Naval Warfare. Players control single ships or vast fleets with fully
destructible sails as well as cannon and musket action, boarding raids and more. This is the
complete naval combat experience.
- All-new Game Engine. With a newly created Windows XP-compatible DX10 graphics
engine, players will experience real-time seascapes, dynamic weather and a new advanced
landscape and flora system.
- Episodic Campaign. Improves accessibility to the game by gradually introducing advanced
features over time.
- Massive Scope. Over 30 in-game factions encompass all of the World’s major powers
including the United States of America.
- Brand New Multiplayer Modes. Players vie for a place at the top of the rankings and
join leagues and ladders for even more gameplay challenges.

| I've played every TW game and never had any problems, and now I'm experiencing a ton of them (as are many of you). I initially played as prussia and got to 130 or so turns (had most of europe conquered) and then it corrupted. Then I tried Britian and am currently at 175 turns (with everything but extreme eastern europe, the ottoman empire, and india conquered) and that has just recently corrupted....[More] |

| This game suffers from terrible bugs. If you have played any of the Creative Assembly Total War games of the past few years you already know that they typically have some issues right out of the box. However, they are still for the most part playable with a little patience and some mods from the Total War community of game players that really make this franchise one of the best out there. Unfortun...[More] |

| This game is buggier than an EA game. Even though that should be enough said, I will explain anyway. I have over $5,000 in my computer, which i built myself, and yet it still runs at only about 35 fps if im lucky. Plus, this game cannot stay running for 10 minutes before it decides to crash, completely at random. Also, there has not been an update going on three weeks now, so it seems that SEGA is...[More] |
