The Nintendo DS Lite is a high-powered handheld video game system in a sleek folding design – loaded with features for a unique gaming experience. The color screens are now even brighter – and the lower touch screen provides a totally new way of playing and controlling games.

Use the built-in wireless mode to share games, chat or even play multiplayer games on-line via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Play impressive 3-D rendered Nintendo DS games – and play all your favorite Game Boy® Advance games in single player mode. It's less than two-thirds the size of the original Nintendo DS and more than 20 percent lighter.
Its two bright screens can be adjusted to four levels to adapt to different lighting conditions and to extend battery power.
The microphone sits in the center of the unit, and the LED lights are clearly visible whether the unit is open or closed.
The stylus is 1 centimeter longer and 1 millimeter thicker than the stylus of the original, and slides into a side storage slot.
The Start and Select buttons were repositioned for easier access.
A removable cover keeps the Game Boy® Advance cartridge slot clear from dust and debris when it’s not in use.
Lithium-ion Battery(approx. 6-10 hours play time depending on software and game play activity; 4 hours to recharge) |

I had a DS Lite white model for about 8 months. It has some vary nice features:
Full Game Boy Advanced hardware support: even has a slot for them, and and cover to keep junk and dust/dirt out. The screen is good, not great but good, the colors it displays are nice, the response time is good, also not great but good. The best thing I found was that it has built in 2.0 Surround sound speakers. You can hear things that come at you from the left, right and center.
My only major gripe like many others is the lack of a good Wi-Fi support. No support for WPA/2 or even good support for WEP Keys at best. The darn thing has a vary crappy built in antena and can't stay connected even on a good Wi-Fi connection with 90% connectivity it still lags, out and drops you. Other then that one gripe I thought it was perfect for kids. The touch screen can be changed from the top or bottom display, the brightness levels can be adjusted, and the Wi-Fi connections can be managed.

A really liked the DS and I played all of my advance games on here. I persnally like this more than the dsi just because of the design. the great games for it are tetris, mario kart, new super mario bros, and SM64DS. Those are just some. It has a bigger game game library, but it cant play movies and music like the PSP. The PSP has a still very good game library, and the graphics? If you tried to p...[More]

If you ask me i think nintendo is the best game company ever because in my opinion they never fail to please. I got my ds lite and it has never failed on me once the performance is very very good. The design is very nice and smooth but the problem i have with it is that the surface is glossy and it gets finger prints easily. Another problem is that it is a bit delicate. I try to keep my ds in the ...[More]

This is the best system ever. I mean, come on... how tight was that trailer? I'll tell you... it was really tight. But this system has not failed me yet. It's just pure amazing. I love the new nintendo DS more than the first one. I bought the first one when it came out, and it shortly after broke. But the new one is great. I just love the DS so much, and it has pokemon (aka the best game EVER) it ...[More]
