| Throughout the campaign, players will encounter lifelike and adaptable artificial intelligence (A.I.) from enemies as well as fellow soldiers, destructible environments, and stunningly detailed scenery. Featuring an extensive single-player campaign and thrilling multi-player mode, Killzone 2 delivers a host of new gameplay elements and an intense storyline that will once again drive gamers to join the ranks of the ISA and fight the Helghast…this time on the enemy’s home planet. Two years after the Helghast assault on Vekta, the ISA is taking the fight to the enemy’s home world of Helghan. The ISA goal is direct: capture the Helghast leader, Emperor Visari, and bring the Helghast war machine to a halt. Assuming the role of Sev, a battle-hardened veteran and a member of the special forces unit known as the Legion, players will lead a group of highly trained soldiers on a mission to take out the Helghast threat. For Sev and his squad, the invasion of Helghan is just the beginning. Tasked with securing Pyrrhus, the Capital City, the team quickly discovers that the Helghast are a formidable enemy on their home planet. Not only have they adjusted to the planet’s hostile conditions, they have also harnessed a source of power they can now use against the ISA. For the past two years or so many owners of the PlayStation 3 have wondered "was it really worth buying this system?" With the release of Killzone 2 the answer is simple: yes.
After recently giving up on the Xbox 360 and trusting myself in the hands of Sony's PlayStation 3, I began to crave for an FPS game. This game blows every other FPS game out of the water and then some. Without a doubt, Killzone 2 is one of the best PlayStation 3 exclusives to date.
First of all, the graphics in Killzone 2 are beyond beautiful. The game designers went to all ends to make an atmosphere where you felt as if you were actually on a battlefield. The game is dark, bullet holes glow as your fire hits the cover the enemy is behind, dust picks up if dropships filled with reinforcements fly in, and lightning pierces the sky ominously. That's just a taste of what the visual aspect of Killzone 2 has to offer.

| Well i've owned Killzone 2 sense it came out, played it, it was awesome.. on normal anyway.. but uh for people who want the trophies, this game is not for you.. u definitly see the flaws in this game on the "Elite" difficulty level. you'll start seeing A LOT! of the original Killzone, meaning dieing almost all the time, mainly cause ur teammates are DUMB one of those 1 man kills ALL type...[More] |

This game rocks!
The only issue I have found why people don't enjoy Killzone is that the shooting is more realistic than any other title. If you carry on shooting, the recoil makes your hits not accurate like in real life. Also if you shoot in the general direction you do not hit someone, you have to shoot fairly accurately, just like real life!

| I just finished Killzone 2. All I can say is, WOW!!!! The graphics are unbelievable and look real(at least in 1080i). This game was truly awe-ing. The storyline really isn't anything special. The Helghast, came to Earth and brutaly tried taking over. Now, we (ISA) go to Helgan to hopefully end this devastating battle. Some parts I found very cliched.
