Recognized as the global leader and driving force in the computer entertainment industry, Sony Computer Entertainment sets a new standard for entertainment on the go with the PSP (PlayStation Portable) handheld entertainment system. PSP is the first truly integrated handheld entertainment system designed to handle multiple applications — music, video, communication, and wireless networking, with games as its primary driver. PSP brings an unparalleled gaming experience to a handheld platform, allowing users to enjoy 3D games, with high-quality, full-motion video, and high-fidelity stereo audio. With graphics rendering capability comparable to that of PlayStation®2, PSP features a 4.3-inch wide screen, high-resolution TFT display. PSP also adopts a newly developed, proprietary compact but high-capacity (1.8GB) optical disc, Universal Media Disc (UMD), as its storage medium. |

To protect this entertainment content, Sony Computer Entertainment has developed a robust copyright protection system has been developed which is a combination of a unique disc ID, a 128-bit AES encryption keys for the media, and individual ID for each PSP hardware unit. Ok this handheld is great! Let's start...
DESIGN: the design is very sleek, thin, light, smooth, and beautiful! very compact, and i just love that little analog stick!!
INTERNET: The internet works fairly well on PSP, especially when youdon't want to go all the way to your computer or you're in a portable place. It does have only wifi; so you can only connect at hotspots, but those are everywhere now! Typing in an address uses the familiar phone texting interface; so most teenagers that text will feel right at home, and what's also great is it shows the whole internet, not just a portion. The srolling works well too, although it gets annoying somtimes!! You can use the analog stick to move the cursor freely, or the D-pad to quick zoom to the links. Overall it works pretty well for a handheld.
PHOTOS: Not much to say about the photos part. You can transfer them easily, view them easily, have a slideshow, and even play music while viewing.
MUSIC: The music fun...[More]

| Another genration of all handheld game systems: The PlayStation Portable. It's the first handheld game system that can adopt to you like a new Madden video game. It has features that other handheld consoles don't. But, if you're a little clumsy like me, the PSP might not function properly, like occasionally, when you start to play any game at all (if yo move it a certain way) the HOME menu starts ...[More] |

| The PSP is a great portable gaming device, it can play games, of course, it can listen to music which is cool, it can watch movies although they don't have too many good ones out, to me at least, it can go on the internet at pretty good speeds considering it's a handheld, it can hook up to a computer, and PS3, and PS2 via USB, can store photos and videos, has Skype, can use a video-out function, ...[More] |
