Two of the biggest icons in the entertainment industry, Mario and Sonic, are joining forces to star in Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. Developed exclusively for the Wii video game system and the Nintendo DS system, this momentous agreement marks the first time these two renowned stars have appeared together in a game.

Featuring an all-star cast of characters from the amazing worlds of both Mario and Sonic, players will be able to compete as or against a range of familiar characters including Mario, Sonic, Luigi, Knuckles, Yoshi, Tails and more. Innovative usage of the Wii and DS control systems to maneuver your favorite character will allow players to race the likes of Mario and Sonic down the 100m track, leap over the high jump or churn water in a swimming heat, all while competing for the much sought after gold medal. With up to four players on the Wii and on the DS, the stage is set to catch the fever this holiday with Mario and Sonic.
Over 20 events to master
  • Includes stages that are modeled after real-life Olympic venues with actual Olympic events including track & field, archery, skeet shooting, table tennis, and gymnastics, as well as additional unlockable stages that bring in objects from the fantastical worlds of Mario and Sonic.

  • The four Dream events are
  • Dream Race (Sandhill Race Course) - Get on your marks for this intense power-up filled race course made for either one player or as many as four.
  • Dream Platform (Tropical Reef Diving Area - 10,000M Diving) - More like skydiving, soar through hoops and perform aerial tricks while avoiding obstacles and opponents to reach the finish line first.
  • Dream Fencing (Duel Wharf Fencing Beach) - With unique special attacks for each character, this jungle-inspired world offers the ultimate duel.
  • Dream Table Tennis (Speed Rally Table Tennis Stadium) - A sci-fi wonderland, this magical table tennis extravaganza offers a special ability for each character - so move fast!

  • Four unique playing styles
  • The competition takes on a new dimension with the special strengths and abilities of each character. For example: Sonic and Yoshi (Speed), Mario and Amy (All-around), Peach and Tails (Technical), Bowser and Knuckles (Power).

  • Three game modes
  • In Single Match mode, players can try out each event individually; or try Circuit mode and compete for the highest overall score. In Mission mode, there are challenges created specifically foreach character.

  • Wii controls get gamers into the sports action
  • Players swing the Wii controller for the hammer throw, notch the Nunchuk to shoot arrows and skeet, simulate different strokes for swimming medleys, and much more. Also, secret power boost techniques encourage players to experiment and find a competitive edge.

  • Multiplayer challenges for four players
  • Players can join in on the fun simultaneously on the Wii, competing with their friends in single events or in athletic circuits.

  • Compete with your Mii!
  • Thanks to the unique interactive Mii features, players can bring their own Mii into the game as a playable character. Gamers will be able to import their Mii into the game and compete as themselves in any of the Olympic or Dream events and even beat their favorite hero to win Gold.

This game is great for all of us ADD people who have a hard time sitting any length of time doing the same thing over and over and over again. The stylus is used for just about everything. speed and timing along with hand eye coordination are vital. and if you like your touch screen un-scratched ... don't buy this game. I've played for a while now and can tell you there's still tons more to do...[More]

This game is a game that is fun with a lot of people but if your alone, its pretty boring. The computers are challenging... so challenging that its sometimes pretty boring because you know your going to lose. Although the computers are tough, if your naturally gifted at this game its really easy and quick to beat the game
The charecter variety is excellent and you have much to choose from. what...[More]

One of the worst sports games out there for the wii. I would not say the worst. But one of them. This game is based in the olympics, (duh) as sega and nentendo join forces. As there mascots, mario and sonic, meet at the olympics to see who will win the glorry. I think this game is a bad game, but it has some places it shines. Here are the goods:) and bads:( about this game.
