If you're a fan of the series, then you'll probably love this game. Graphics are great, and the combat has always been a plus. Additionally, Darth Vader is a complete bad rump, but I wonder how Yoda is on the 360.
After you get past the polish, it's essentially the same game it's always been. The finishing moves are pretty cool, but they get old, like any other fighting games finishing moves would. Online mode is where it's a plus for me. Fighting against someone else besides a close relative is always good for any game. That's how you can really test your skills at the game (which a lot of people I've played lack)....lol. Overall its a great game if you are a fan of the series. If not, you might want to rent it first, just to see how you like it

I have had this game for a while now. This is definitely one of my PS3 favorites. Challenge is there. I find that Arcade mode is the most challenging, because the characters get harder to beat as you go. Controls are basic, and well set up. Special moves are just awesome. Every character has a ultimate move, you will have to buy the game and figure them out. Unlocks seem like they never end...[More]

Here is a game that appeals to alot of players because it looks and sounds fantastic. Heck, it even play's fantastic. So what's my problem with it...NO DEPTH. The first time I played through the game I beat it by just blocking and attacking, blocking and attacking, throw them when they block, etc. The parries are cool in theory but you'll soon find that the timing is so strict that you're much...[More]

It's the fighting game season. Which means we'll be seeing big name sequels, like Street Fighter IV, or crossovers like Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Soul Calibur IV is a big name sequel, and is famous for using "guest characters" Such as Link, Spawn, or Tekken characters. This time Darth Vader joins the fray for the PS3. If you're a veteran player of the series, you can dominate as the...[More]
